In this course, 10th and 11th grade students at ALA will learn to be inquisitive, perform high caliber research on a topic of their choice, work effectively in groups and independently, and recognize bias in source material. By gaining a greater understanding of how to read and analyze the world around them students will become better learners, thinkers, and citizens of the world. Our initial unit this year will focus on how food is represented across cultures and how food transmits cultural values.
